Wynde is an Oncology-certified Nurse with more than 15 years of oncology experience, all of which have been spent at the Roper St. Francis. She currently oversees Outpatient Infusion at Roper Hospital and St. Francis Hospital and works closely with the Manager of Inpatient Oncology to ensure continuity of care for all cancer patients. As Manager of Oncology Research, Wynde works with her staff to offer our cancer patients the ability to participate in clinical trials. 

Chaplain Marjorie Avent

Chaplain Marjorie Avent is the Staff Chaplain for Roper St. Francis Cancer Care.  Marjorie has a background in marriage and family counseling and is a National Certified Counselor. She and the Pastoral Care team, made up of chaplains from a variety of faith traditions, provide a compassionate and caring presence for patients and their families. As with any illness, having cancer may raise questions of meaning, purpose and identity; and Marjorie and the Pastoral Care team are on hand to help patients wrestling with spiritual issues that may arise during the course of treatment.

Catherine is the Clinical Manager of 5 South, Roper's 22-bed inpatient Oncology and Hematology unit. She is an Oncology-certified nurse and a member of the National Oncology Nursing Society. 

Kelly Hauschild

Kelly meets with newly diagnosed patients to identify individual needs and connect them with resources available through Roper St. Francis and the American Cancer Society. She assists with general cancer education, financial and insurance information, transportation needs, nutritional counseling and support group options.

Teresa Pischner, RN, MSN, OCN, BHS
Breast Health Navigator

Teresa, an advanced practice nurse with an in-depth understanding of breast cancer, is an invaluable advocate. She guides breast cancer patients through the complex maze of new information, treatment options and therapy regimens. Teresa is a helpful resource and familiar face to comfort and assist throughout treatment and recovery, allowing the patient to focus energy and efforts on health and recovery.

Susan Frickman, RN, BSN, OCN

Susan is an Oncology-certified Nurse with more than 16 years of oncology/hematology experience in various roles at Roper St. Francis. Since 2001, she has been the Bone Marrow Transplant Coordinator, bringing to that role a highly specialized knowledge of and experience with the unique needs of transplant patients. Susan works with the transplant physician to coordinate the patient's care from the pre-transplant evaluation until discharge back to the care of the referring physician.

Myra S. Green

Myra is the case manager for Oncology which includes outpatient radiation, outpatient infusion and the Bone Marrow Transplant unit.  Myra is new to this position and has more than 11 years experience in social work. Myra assists cancer patients and families with community resources and psychosocial support based on their individual needs. 

Ellen Kolender, RHIA, CTR

Ellen has more than 30 years experience as a manager responsible for data management, accreditation compliance, and department employees. The majority of her experience was obtained at Roper St. Francis. She manages the Cancer Data Management Department, responsible for the Cancer Registry, coordination of multi-disciplinary cancer conferences and maintaining the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer Accreditation for Roper St. Francis.
