Professional development is promoted by nursing scholarships, paid education leave, and tuition reimbursement. Up from 5% in January 2005, more than 50% of our direct care RN full-time equivalents are certified in their specialties due to the organization providing funds for review sessions and testing. Direct care nurses are involved in a variety of the hospital’s decision-making bodies and work groups.
