The Roper St. Francis Medical Center on Kiawah Island offers high quality family
medicine and diagnostic testing in a convenient location at Freshfield Village on
Johns Island. We are equipped to treat minor injuries for locals and visitors.
Family Medicine
The Medical & Urgent Care Center is recognized for its excellence in Family
Medicine. We are dedicated to providing our patients with the best primary care
for everything from acute to chronic illnesses. Our doctors also have a special
focus on preventive care and health education.
Diagnostic Center
At our Center we provide patient focused services and clinical outcomes consistently
meet or exceed our customers’ expectations. Diagnostic services at this site
include laboratory and x-ray services and pre-op evaluations. Services are available
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Urgent Care
Doctors are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. to treat your unexpected sicknesses or injuries that are not life-threatening. You can count on us for all your little emergencies from sprains to jellyfish stings. Available for urgent care consultation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Medical Appointments
In order for us to provide the best medical care in a timely fashion, we ask that
you call ahead to schedule an appointment. Appointments may be scheduled Monday
through Friday from 8 - 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 - 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.,
by calling (843) 768-4800. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please
call to cancel.
We will evaluate and care for walk-in patients in a timely manner, but patients
with appointments will be seen at their scheduled time.
Prescription Refills
Please bring your medications with you to your appointments so the doctor can be
aware of all your current prescriptions and can prescribe refills as needed.
Please call during our afternoon hours (1 - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday) for
prescription refills. Prescription refills will be called in to your pharmacy
or written and ready for pick up within 24 hours.
After Hours Care
If you have a medical problem that arises after hours, call our office and the answering
service will gladly notify the doctor on call.
Occupational Medicine
The Center is also a Worksite Partners treatment and diagnostics site. Worksite
Partners provides all the services of a corporate medical department and much more.
