Roper St. Francis Names Construction Manager For Mount Pleasant Hospital

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is pleased to announce that the BE&K Building Group has been officially named as Construction Manager for its new Mount Pleasant Hospital. Groundbreaking for the 85-bed, full service hospital is on schedule for later this year with site work to follow immediately. Construction gets underway in early 2008.

In January of this year, Roper St. Francis officials announced FreemanWhite as the project architects for the new Mount Pleasant hospital. FreemanWhite is using state-of-the-art technology, including advanced computer simulation models and interactive programs, to help plan and design the hospital. Roper St. Francis officials say site planning and the completion of detailed architectural drawings for the new hospital is currently underway and progressing on schedule.

The 200,000-square-foot facility will be located on 78 acres of land at the intersection of Highway 17 North and Faison (Airport) Road in the Carolina Park Development adjacent to Wando High School in northern Mount Pleasant.
