of health and physical evaluations, such
as pre-placement, return-to-work, executive
health, D.O.T. medical clearance, lead

Medical Examinations (IME) and Second
Opinion Evaluations, etc. The closer the
working relationship between Worksite
Partners and our client, the more the
examining doctor knows about a company's
work environment, the greater the value
of the examination.
- Post-Offer/Pre-placement and Fitness for Duty Exams
These exams are primarily performed for the employers to determine if a prospective employee can safely perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations. They are also performed to establish a baseline health status. The baseline health status can be asset in the event of a serious work related injury if the employer wishes to file a Subsequent Injury Fund claim.
- Department of Transportation Exams
Federal law requires these exams. They have multiple mandated components, which are set forth in specific regulations or nationally accepted guidelines. An employer may pay for the service, but it is performed on behalf of the general public. The purpose is to determine whether the examinee can safely operate a motor vehicle and perform essential safety related job functions, and whether the individual has a medical problem that is likely to interfere with safe performance.
- Respiratory Protection Programs
Respirator protection standards continue to change. Worksite Partners can help develop a respiratory protection program that will protect the employee and keep the employer in compliance with OSHA regulations. A medical evaluation is required, which may require a medical examination and may also require pulmonary function testing. Other requirements include fit testing, respirator selection, employee training and the designation of a responsible program coordinator.
- Independent Medical Examinations (IME) and Second Opinion
The purpose of Independent Medical Examinations (IME) is to assess injured and ill patients in an objective and holistic manner. It is also to compare, evaluate and adjudicate claims of disability and impairment. The examination addresses history, diagnosis, causation, prognosis and the issue of Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI). MMI is the date after which further recovery can no longer be anticipated.
